Q. What time are Sunday services?

As of now we have one service  on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Due to the damage to our sanctuary from Hurricane Florence, we meet at St. James Community Building. We do offer nursery and activity bags are available for younger children to pick up and take to the worship service.

Q. What should I wear?

We are a church on the coast and we like to say we dress "coastal casual". That means you will see some people in khakis, jeans, button ups and polos,... not to mention some shorts and flip-flops. In other words... come as you are!!

Q. Where do I park?

Turn off of Hwy 211 to the St. James Community Building. We have a parking team that will direct you where to park.

Q. What about children?

Children are very important at Beach Road. We have a special program for kids called Main Street. On Main Street you will find exciting learning environments that are tailored to each age group. Check it out by clicking HERE. We also have a fun filled evening for children on Wednesdays at

6:30 p.m. with Kidz' Praise during the school year. However, while we are displaced from our sanctuary, our children's programs are not meeting.

Q. How about teens and young adults?

Middle school students and high school students meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in Pier 41 for The Point. Pier 41 is located behind the main building. It is clearly marked with a surfboard sign! College age students meet on Thursday nights with Pastor Daniel for Bible Fellowship. If you are interested in the college age/young adults group, you can email

Pastor Daniel for times and locations for each week.

Q. What is Wednesday evening all about?

There are a lot of exciting things happening on Wednesday evenings all starting at 6:30 p.m. The high school students and middle school students meet in Pier 41 for The Point to focus on God's Word and how it applies to their lives.   Elementary age kids can join Kidz' Praise held in Southport Christian School during the school year. For adults there is The Crossing Bible study in the sanctuary which is an informal, educational study of the Bible taught by Pastor Todd Houston. Everyone is welcome! Dress is casual. During our renovation of our facility, The Crossing and Kidz' Praise are not meeting.

Q. How can I learn more about Beach Road?

Beach Road offers Discovering Beach Road, a class that meets on designated consecutive Sundays. The class covers our vision and values, what we believe, our ministries and helps people answer any questions they may have. It is a great introduction to the church and the church family.

Q. How can I contact a staff member?

You can visit the "our staff" page to find emails and phone numbers for each person on staff.

Q. How do I submit a prayer request?

There are a few ways to submit a prayer request. You may call the church office during business hours with a prayer request to be sent asap to the prayer chain. On Sundays, you may place a prayer request in the basket on the altar and it will be prayed over during the music in the beginning of the worship service by our prayer team. There are prayer request cards in the pews. You may also place a request in the prayer box located in the church office hallway or send us a request by email and they too will be prayed over on Sunday.

Q. How can I get involved?

There are so many exciting ways to become an active part of Beach Road. Bible Fellowship on Sundays is a great way to meet people, connect with the church and study God's Word. These groups are offered at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday mornings. We also have many ways to serve. Check out the pages under Connect  to learn more.

Q. Do you offer counseling?

 Pastor Todd,  Pastor Daniel and Pastor James are available for counseling. You may email any of them to schedule an appointment.
