In the last 2 Beatitudes, Jesus says my people will be peacemakers and will be persecuted. The logic is simple. God is described as a God of peace and reconciled believers through the blood of Christ. Therefore, his children will do the same. They will do the work of bringing together alienating parties. The world rejected Jesus as he exposed their sinfulness and will do the same to those who strive to live a holy life. Persecution will come. Join us as we look at Matthew 5:9-12
