Our Pastors

  • Todd Houston • Senior Pastor

Todd wants to live in a world where the Tennessee Volunteers football team never loses and the Alabama Crimson Tide never wins, salads are bad for you and Milky Way candy bars are nutritious, and he could preach twice as long on Sundays. Over the course of his ministry, Pastor Todd has served as senior pastor at churches in Tennessee, Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina and is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Through his passion to preach and teach the Word of God, Pastor Todd leads Beach Road to see the Holy Spirit transform lives through the power of Scripture. In addition to being senior pastor, Todd serves in leadership roles in the state and national convention, leads groups to Israel where he helps them have a deeper understanding of Scripture, and he and his wife Alisha are braving the adventure of having two high school children. During some down time you could find Todd experimenting with new grilling techniques, reading a good book, binge watching a television series on Netflix, or introducing the staff to his newest playlist of obscure 80's music. Pastor Todd's life goal is to be a man who follows Christ and leads others to do the same.

  • Daniel Justice • Executive Pastor

Daniel wants to live in a world where college football is played 12 months a year, there is no such thing as too much red meat, and Taylor Swift song lyrics are outlawed. In 19 years of ministry, Pastor Daniel has had the opportunity to serve in a wide variety of capacities within the local church. He holds a degree in Biblical studies, has been married for 17 years, has two incredible daughters, and is attempting to survive in a home where he is the only male (even his dogs are girls). When he is not leading praise and worship, working with students, counseling, or equipping an incredible team of family ministry volunteers to impact the next generation, you can find him going to his daughter's activities, experimenting in the kitchen, trying to become a real guitar player, trying in vain to shave strokes off his golf game, and protecting his daughters from boys. Before his promotion to heaven one day, Daniel wants to unleash as many followers of Christ as possible to change the world with the power of the Gospel.

  • James Zik • Associate Pastor

James wants to live in a world where the Buffalo Bills finally win a Super Bowl, bbq, Chick-fil-A, hot wings, and ice cream (mint chocolate chip of course) are eaten everyday and are considered health foods. In nine years of ministry, Pastor James has served churches in Kentucky, Texas, and now North Carolina in various capacities. He holds degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the University of Kentucky. When he is not at the church equipping disciples-makers and working on administrative duties, you can find him cheering on the Tennessee Vol, reading a book, listening to music, or figuring out where to travel next. Before he lives forever with his Savior, James wants to do as much as he can to impact the world with the saving message of Jesus Christ!!

  • Jimmie Perryman • Associate Pastor

Jimmie wants to live in a world where McDonald’s senior coffee is always accessible, where his beloved Denver Broncos win another Super Bowl, and where eating a cheeseburger a day keeps the doctor away. Pastor Jimmie served his country for twenty two years in the U.S. Army, and another ten years for the Department of Defense and Homeland Security as a defense contractor. For the past thirteen years he has served in several service and leadership roles at Beach Road Baptist Church; all helping to shape and mold him to now serve in his current capacity as Associate Pastor for Visitation and Senior Adults. Jimmie graduated from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. He and his wife Sandy have been married for 49 years; have three sons, and eight grandchildren. When Jimmie is not visiting someone in the hospital or in their home, you can often find him on the golf course, or just relaxing at home with a good book. Pastor Jimmie’s main hope for the future is seeing all his grandchildren saved and walking with the Lord.
